Fast, Fresh, And Simple Baked Walleye Recipe

Walleye can make a very delicious meal for the whole family. To maintain its fresh and mouthwatering taste, here is a fast, fresh, and simple baked walleye recipe that you sure will love.

Preparation time: Half an hour

Serves: 12 people (Tip: I made the recipe big, since baked walleye is always an all time favorite. You can divide the recipe by 4's if you want to make the serving smaller.)
Ingredients:
12 pcs of walleye fillet
360 grams of melted butter (this may be quite a lot, but it will definitely give flavor to the fish!)
Juice of 1 medium sized lemon
Sliced mushroom (quantity depends on how you want mushroom to be part of the meal. But the ideal quantity is at least half to a cup)
1 medium sized onions, finely chopped
A pinch of salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

While you are preparing and cleaning your walleye fish, go ahead and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine butter, salt and pepper, and your lemon juice in a bowl, and marinate your walleye for a few minutes, or while you are waiting for your oven to heat up. Get your baking pan, and make sure to grease it with some melted butter, or line it up with a baking sheet. Arrange the walleye fillet nicely, so they will not stick together. Get your mushrooms and minced onions, and spread them generously on top and on the sides of each walleye fillet to add color and flavor. Check your oven if it is already preheated well, and place your baking pan inside.

Bake your walleye for 15 to 20 minutes, or check it from time to time, to make sure that you are not burning the fish. Basically, if the weather is cooler, baking time takes a little longer. Fish do not need to cook for a long time. In fact, once it turns into a different color, your fish should be already done. You can also brush it with the left over melted butter from time to time, to induce the flavor even more, and to make your fish moist.

This recipe is best paired with hot steamed rice of your choice, fresh green salad, or baked potato.

Your family will surely be delighted with an extremely easy and healthy recipe that can be done in just a matter of minutes.

Tip: You can prepare raw walleye fillets ahead of time and place it inside the freezer, which can last for not more than a week to maintain its freshness. This is ideal for people who are always busy, and does not have enough time to prepare and cook delicious meals every day.
